Shop consciously!

Our ambition is to make products that will last as long as possible - they should be able to be inherited when you yourself do not want or can no longer use them. If they break, they should be repairable and then they should be easy to repair. We always think about repairability when we develop our products, we want to extend the lifespan in that way, which is good for your wallet and for our environment.

1. Buy products for a long time

Questions to ask: Look at the durability of the garment, is it made of quality materials, can it be repaired, will you want it for a long time, is it in a color / design that you will not get tired of. Or do you know with you that you only need the product for a short time so maybe you can find it second-hand such as the block, tradera, facebook groups.

2. Use them often and take care of them

Our products are created to be used often and for a long time and for a lot. They all have a raison d'être - we have developed them so that you can be active in nature for a long time. It takes a lot of properties for it to work optimally and therefore we are experts in different materials. Our garments should be able to warm you in the winter, cool you in the summer, you must not get too hot and not too cold and you should love to wear them. But as with everything you like, caring is important. Take care of and take care of your things and they will last longer and they will take care of you.

3. Repair if they break

We live in a time of "wear and tear" culture where it is ok to throw away things that are broken but we must stop this behavior. We must re-learn and teach our children that a lot can be cooked and that this is also what you should look at when buying new.

We offer and have since 1932 offered repair of our boots. Clothes and backpacks can also be handed in for repair.

4. When they become wardrobe warmers

For one reason or another, you no longer use the garment, the boots, the backpack. It can be with interest, fit, time or something completely different. Our advice here is to resell or give to someone you know or through an aid organization. So they come to the use they were meant to make.

5. Recycling - the end

One day - when it has been so long that it is no longer possible to repair, the product has reached the end of "life". What should you do when it comes to affecting our environment as little as possible?

It is common to collect worn-out clothes and shoes and throw them on the tip. Then it will go as combustible, which means that the plastics in the garments will come out in our nature. Today we have come a long way and there is a plethora of services where you can hand in your old textiles, shoes etc. for recycling. There are many materials that today can be reused, recycled and old things can be given new life in a completely new form.

We strive to use materials that have been recycled, ie that have previously been used for some other waste bottles. We also work to ensure that our products can be reused when they are sold out. Ex Lo Jacket & Pant - where the whole garment is recyclable and can be melted down and become something else in the "next life".

Below services sort and evaluate the ones you submit and recycle what goes in different ways.

We recommend that you use the organization iCollect to take care of all garments that are handed in in HM's stores. iCollect sorts by hand.
